My name is KC- a simple, bubbly, hardworking woman who grew up from the beautiful country of the Philippines. I am a dreamer since I was a kid. I came from a family who struggle to have a good life. My dad needs to work two to three jobs just to be able to support us. My mom will do any part time jobs to help us as well. We never own a house or a car. I was a jealous, when some of my classmates have their family SUV’s drive them to school. School life was great, I have many friends and I am one of teacher favourites, also always a class president. I am a hard working student back then. I will always tried to belong at Top of the class that makes my parents so proud of me. I worked two jobs when I was a student, doing my classmates home works/projects, also i worked in a pizza store doing all around kinda thing.I am not a popular in school because I’m pretty or what. Students are familiar of me because they call me a “walking encyclopedia”. Now that I think about it, its funny how I carry all of those heavy books and notebooks in school everyday.
Time goes by so quick and now I’m here in Victoria, Canada living a different life. I never thought that what I am looking for came to happen. I was able to find early age what I want in life. I will always tell myself I know I can do it and I will able to do it to travel, take my family abroad and have life opportunities. Not everyone in the Philippines are lucky to have options. I worked hard and really focus on what I want in life not all the time but when you believe yourself it will follow. I am so grateful for everything. I learned step by step how to appreciate life. How to listen with the environment and appreciate what life can offer. Never give up! We might not be able to get the perfect want and dream we wanted but some of them can happen through YOU. It makes me cry every time I think about the memories we have when I first take my family for the airplane ride it was amazing a great feeling, stunning memory that nobody can take away from us. Now that I am 6,835 miles away from them, moving here 5 years ago teaches me a lesson how to love and prioritize my family more and how to love them just the way they are. Never forget to look back where you came from. I miss my family laughing, i miss my dogs that i can play, miss my dad cooked filipino food for me, my brother teasing me and arguments with my sister, drinking alcohol with my cousin, eating street food and stunning beaches that Philippines can offer. How’s life can change fast but wherever I am everyone, will always be a part of my growing life.
I decided to start a blog for myself to share life with everyone. To inspire my co- filipinos who works hard and be away from the family.
I want to share the memories, the inspiring growing me and the most important is despite of we want to make money for our family and YOU is the most important. To love and to take care of yourself. Without you is without them. I hope some people can be inspire will all my stories and secret natural beauty tips that I been doing. Many more article to come and I hope this simple blog can make a change through everyone.
